Unity is more important than proving a point, or winning an argument.

Human beings long to be heard, and understood. They desire to have all knowledge and wisdom, along with people to share that with. I, myself long for those things. But as sons and daughters of our father, our first command is to love and to love well. It is more important than being right, winning an argument, or proving a point. God keeps teaching me about honor, a word that just entered my vocabulary about a year ago. I left for my adventure called DTS and I had to live with over forty strangers...let's just say learning how to love, and honor didn't come naturally to me. It has been a journey not just to love people where they are at, but to actually see them the way the father does. To see them the way he sees them, and to even treat them that way. Now, being in Missions full time, my job description (if you wanna call it a job) is literally to love people (all people) and to serve people. Although more and more the mindset of "ministry" is being broken off me because this is what NORMAL Christian life looks like. Honor comes from love. As sons and daughters, we are ALL called to love, ALL the time. With God it is very possible. My heart's desire isn't just to love people I naturally see eye to eye with but to love people I disagree with. I don't want to win arguments, I want to win hearts. I am praying for the Holy Spirit to continually give me his eyes and heart. Yea, I can love alright on my own strength. But I can love well with his. This is my prayer. To see love cross all boundaries, ethnic groups, social barriers, and lines.
